THE
ARCHITECT
Lane Pettigrew
qualified at Sheffield University, but as an American citizen
he was born in Venezuela. He has spent his career designing
hotels and small resorts around the Caribbean - in fact over 60
in 20 years, and can boast of awards in this sector. He has 3 offices
and homes in St. Lucia, Miami and Honduras.
Lane's design choices reflect his broad West Indian aesthetic. His
designs echo the classical styling of the original Caribbean colonial
architecture. In the case of Cap Maison, this will be a sensational
Spanish colonial style, mixed with the Eastern Caribbean's French
influence. His build quality and finish are first class. His latest
designs in St. Lucia have been in Soufriere for the world famous
pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy.
Lane describes Cap Maison's residences as being "handmade",
each unique, the furniture and fittings being sought throughout
the Caribbean and Central America.
